 Self-Employment-1We are pleased to inform you that as from the 6th November a new Law came into force establishing a specific system of protection for the activity closure of the self-employed.

 

 

This is a very important step forward to equalizing the rights of self-employed workers to the general Social Security system.


Below you will find the benefits for those who wish to apply for the activity suspension benefit:

Subsidy payment from the mutual insurance company of 70% of the base salary during a specific number of months ( to be confirmed by the Social Security).


Payment of the contribution for common contingencies by the mutual insurance company during the period specified.


Training, career guidance and promotion of entrepreneurial activity by public employment services.


To apply for the activity suspension benefit you are obliged to fulfill professional contingencies such as accidents and occupational illness.

 

The deadline to apply for this is the 6th February 2011.

 

To be eligible for this benefit you must have contributed a minimum of 12 months.
